Jon Jones gets a title shot at UFC 128

Jon "Bone" Jones (12-1) continues to prove that he is one emerging deadly fighter inside the octagon as he defeated and damaged the winning streak of Ryan Bader (12-1) in the main card of UFC 126 last February 5.  Jones took Bader down and control him in most occasions in the 1st round and caught him with a guillotine choke in the 2nd round forcing a tapout.

A huge victory for Jon Jones elevating his MMA career into the next level as it was officially announced, right after the fight, that he gets a title shot for the Light Heavyweight Championship against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 128 replacing the spot of the injured Rashad Evans.  It was reported that Evans blew his knee during training and will likely be out for months.  "Shogun Rua", in attendance at the fight, went up inside the octagon and shook Jones hands as his acknowledgement for the challenge.

UFC 128 - "Shogun" Rua vs. Jon Jones is going to take place on March 19 in Newark, New Jersey, USA.
