Forrest Griffin's win over Rich Franklin

The Fan-Favorite Forrest Griffin (18-6) came back to the octagon, after recovering from a shoulder injury last year, and defeated the former Middleweight champion Rich "Ace" Franklin (28-6-0-1) at UFC 126.  All judges scored for Griffin winning the bout via unanimous decision as he accurately landed hard punches and kicks that tagged Franklin in the 2nd round.  The Ace did not seem to execute much in his game as Griffin controlled the fight more than he did though he was able to pull out counterpunches in several occasions.  His left arm injury from Chuck Lidell 8 months ago must have tweaked his game and altered his punch loads for that matter.

The original Ultimate fighter has just recently acquired his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu last year elevating his ground game to the next level.  What's next for Forrest Griffin, after coming back and winning this fight, is still undefined but his fans will hope to see more of him this year.
